Duties and responsibilities of the Quality Control Laboratory Department
Official Laboratory for Medicinal Products and Devices – LZPPM
It was established in September 2004 in accordance with the Law on Medical Products and Devices 2003/26, and its full operationalization was achieved in April 2008.
Since then, work has continued regularly, depending on the requests of the competent authorities.
The mission of the LZPPM is to control and ensure the quality of medical products and devices based on local and international standards, legislation, directives and guidelines with the aim of protecting the public health of the population.
LZPPM has an internal organization, consisting of a staff of 7 members, including; the Department Director, the Quality Manager, and the Sector Leaders.
The LZPPM consists of:
– Quality Assurance Division
– Chemistry-Pharmacy Division
– Biopharmaceutical/Technology Division
– Microbiology/Biology Division
