Duties and responsibilities of the Licensing Department.
The Licensing Department is responsible for issuing business licenses and import/export permits for medical products and devices.
It is also responsible for preparing and issuing licenses for activities for medical products and devices, for manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers, based on the Law on Medical Products and Devices and the sub-legal acts deriving from this law.
The activity license is issued after the assessment of compliance with the conditions stipulated by legislation by the Pharmaceutical Inspectorate for Medical Products and Devices.
The Licensing Department is responsible for reviewing and issuing import/export permits for medicinal products that possess marketing authorization certificates, medical devices, reagents, dietary supplements, herbal medicines. It also reviews and prepares import permits for medicinal products and devices for the essential list and for donations, at the request of the Ministry of Health and for individual therapy. The preparation of applications for issuing import permits is based on the Law on Medicinal Products and Devices and the sub-legal acts derived from this law.
